I am a makeup minimalist. My beauty bag consists entirely of those miniature mascaras and lipsticks that come in those “free gift” bags that you get when you buy cosmetics at a department store. My concealer is my one exception. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had a problem with dark circles under my eyes. Even if I get a full 9 hours of sleep, I’ll still have that pesky shadow lurking on my face. And when I don’t sleep enough, I look like I was punched… twice.
Since I refuse to do anything high-maintenance to fix the problem, I’ve tried many different concealers in the past, all with varying results. But this time, I’m in beauty love. I tried the YSL Touche Éclat at my local Sephora and was amazed at the instant transformation. This is one of those concealers that you definitely don’t need to use with a base to get its full effect. It’s easy to apply, blends in instantly, and really lightens up that shadow. If you don’t believe me, just go ahead and try it. It’s a true blue miracle worker.
It’s a bit pricey, but for me, it’s worth the cost. You can try out and/or get the Touche Éclat for $40 at Sephora.
