I recently had oral surgery and afterward needed to adhere to a liquid diet. I hit up The Garden in Greenpoint for some provisions and along with all the sensible soups and whatnot, I was dead set on getting some kind of ice cream to ease the pain. I lingered in the frozen aisle for a while before settling on a pint of Talenti Gelato in Tahitian Vanilla Bean. While vanilla gelato might not seem like the most exciting thing in the world, it was seriously PERFECT vanilla – sweet and light – and totally smooth, which fit my dietary requirements. And the packaging is genius – the top screws off! Now that I can chew again, I’m pumped to try some of their other flavors; according to their website, Sea Salt Caramel is on the horizon!
