Kati Kovács: Fierce Hungarian

In the process of listening to my iTunes alphabetically by song, I came across this extreme banger by Kati Kovács. “Add Már, Uram, Az Esőt” – which translates as “Give Me, Sir, the Rain” (whoa) – was recently featured on Well Hung: 20 Funk-Rock Eruptions From Beneath Communist Hungary – Volume 1 on Finders Keepers‘ offshoot label B-Music. And truth, this song is nothing if not a funk-rock eruption. Kovacs wails and growls over a stank-face bass groove that just keeps unfolding and unfurling in unexpected directions. Another truth, I often find myself involuntarily stank-facing while listening to this song.
