Animal Looks: Ribbed Tights & Clogs

Anthropologie Tights

Since I started school, I’ve been turning away from some of the heels in my closet and have been consistently reaching for my Madewell desert booties. As much as I love them, it’s always nice to switch things up a bit. Clogs have long been on my list, but my one attempt at purchasing a pair resulted in an angry email to an Etsy seller who had completely misrepresented the product she was selling. (More on my Etsy-related rage another day…)

Sanita Tanya Clog

The trick is finding the clog with the right look. I want a pair that I can wear with a dress and a cute pair of opaque ribbed tights. That means no kitchen workhorses, but a short stacked heel made of real, stained wood and worn, soft leather. Sanita Tanya clogs hit the mark, and they’re reasonably priced at $115 a pair. Tada! Problem solved. These might even look good with a pair of dark gray knee-high socks too… but for the fall I’ll stick to the full coverage wool stockings.

Check out the Sanita collection on their website. For tights, check out the opaque and pointelle options at JCrew and Anthropologie.
