So, I was half-heartedly watching football on Sunday, and looked up from my laptop when I heard a chorus of children singing “Empire State of Mind.” I then sat and watched this tear-yanking State Farm commercial in which said choir visits a New York City firehouse and serenades the firemen, who of course cry. And I of course, cried. I googled it right away and found out that Spike Lee directed it and that you can even download the song from iTunes to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. But why I am still writing…you should just watch it:
We <3 NY.
Nicole
Nicole’s job as a music buyer is just one reason we want to steal her iPod. Her love of hip-hop and show tunes (but not hip-hop show tunes) combined with her inventive dance moves (sexy robot, anyone?) and amazing voice also make this secretly shy Buffalo native a karaoke genius. With a love of Korean food, RuPaul and bargain shopping, you never know what awesome direction a conversation with Nicole may take. And she has an amazingly cute dog whose name is Megabite!
