I love a good sangria, and a recent trip to El Almacen in Brooklyn had me drinking one and thinking, I should make this stuff at home! But what a waste to make a clerico for two. A great sangria deserves a great pitcher and a party of at least, let’s say, four?
Crate and Barrel is hardly my go-to for anything, but with their Studio Pitcher they’ve really hit the mark. Reminiscent of high school science class beakers (with the wise addition of a handle), this pitcher’s simple lines will have me experimenting with fruits and wine in no time. Oh, and ignore the “matching” glassware that Crate & Barrel suggests, you’re better off going with CB2’s Marta barware, which has the same straight lines as its cousin company’s pitcher.
