Sally Hansen Salon Effects first hit drug stores everywhere earlier this year. For those not familiar with them, Salon Effects are nail polish strips, not stickers, but strips of dry nail polish that adhere to your nails. Honestly, I have no idea how it works but it does. I’d been wanting to give them a try for awhile but all the best patterns were always sold out at my local CVS. That was until last week, when I finally got my hands on the box of the lace strips — Laced Up.
I was a little nervous about the application but it was actually pretty easy. (For some good application tips, check out All Lacquered Up.) After only a few nails, I got the hang of it. Overall, I was pretty happy with the look and the wear. The box says 10 days but I got about 7 days of wear before some major chips. These are definitely a good cheap at home alternative to Minx and other professional nail art.
You can pick up Sally Hansen Salon Effects for about $9 online on Amazon or at your local drug store.
