I really enjoy cooking but sometimes a nice home cooked meal without actually having to cook is all I want. That’s where Peter’s Since 1969 comes to the rescue. Peter’s opened on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg in 2007. The name comes from the butcher’s shop that had resided in the space previously since 1969. The menu offers classic mains such as rotisserie chicken, sausage, short ribs, and beef stew. Then there are the sides, which is where Peter’s really shines — mashed potatoes with gravy, mac and cheese, sauteed spinach, okra, and many more. And the price is right, a whole rotisserie chicken, three large sides, and corn bread for $23.95.
