The Amazing Animal Photography of Tim Flach

I just found London-based photographer Tim Flach’s website the other day and…wow.  Tim has said that by treating the animals as human subjects who are sitting for a portrait, we are more likely to anthropomorphize them.  That is certainly true for me when I look at these.  For example, doesn’t the horse with the cute knots in its hair look thoughtful?  Why is that dog so sad?  Are the wolves having a ladies night out?   Why does the dog with the papers in its hair look sort of bitchy once it’s all made up (vainest dog ever)?

Make sure to take a look at his site where there a ton of eye popping photographs, and then head on over to your local book store to flip through his books Equus and Dogs Gods.
