I first tried Salt Lick Bars (also known as Millionaire Bars) a few years ago at a coworker’s holiday party. It was love at first bite. These three layer bars are the perfect dessert — shortbread, caramel, and chocolate topped off with salt. They are dessert crack, it almost impossible to stop eating them. And theses wonderfully chocolatey, gooey, salty bars are easy to make. I’ve made them many times and I’ve never been let down. My go-to recipe is from Bake and Shake. The only change I recommend is omitting the butter from the melted chocolate. It’s not necessary and I find it often results in the chocolate turning into a crumbly mess.
